This was supposed to be a quick lil mixtape drop at the top of 2020, and then 2020 happened lol. But here we are 4 years later, and this lil mixtape has been on this entire journey with me. Playing as a personal soundtrack to my times during the pandemic, my relationships, my depression, my healing, and all the highs and lows. I had no process for this project and it shows. It’s a random but transparent work, and my least polished, but I’ve decided to let it live collection of ideas and emotion that hopefully connects with some one out there. Plantains and mixtape are both universal appetizers, whether it be for a meal or an album, they each prep the buyer for the main course. 👨🏿‍🍳
